Job Summary
Conduct customer service by greeting visitors, resolving complaints, and ensuring all calls are answered promptly while maintaining a positive store environment. Manage general store operations including flawless opening and closing procedures, overseeing cashiering functions, and directing preventative maintenance of physical assets. Supervise inventory and merchandising by executing safe forklift operations, maintaining back stock levels, and ensuring accurate price changes and label updates. Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling associates while leading store operations in the absence of the General Manager. This role prepares candidates for promotion to Assistant Manager within an assigned store, requiring flexible hours and the ability to lift up to 100lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacture assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration and motivate others both internal and external to perform enthusiastically
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs) regularly, and lifting (up to 100lbs) occasionally with assistance, and climbing
