Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager overseeing store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom/sales floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering and inventory control, safeguarding assets including cash, adhering to policies and safety guidelines, supervising and training Store Associates, ensuring a positive and professional environment, and performing other duties as assigned. Candidates typically bring a High School diploma or equivalent with prior store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug-store settings; ability to lift up to 55 lbs.; strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and the capacity to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet physical demands of walking, standing, etc.
