Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional fixtures, aiding in merchandise ordering and loss prevention, keeping the store well-stocked and presentable, protecting store assets, adhering to safety and policy procedures, and supervising/training Store Associates to maintain a positive, safe, and professional environment. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environments, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and a capacity to work in a fast-paced team setting. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
