Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager assists with store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include supporting day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), maintaining a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, protecting assets, adhering to policies and safety guidelines, and helping the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates while ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environments (preferred), ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
