Job Summary
Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities; help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions; organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; perform opening and closing procedures; process corporate directives and communications; maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays; assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention; maintain clean, well-stocked areas; protect and secure store assets including cash; adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines; help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions; duties also include cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
