Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role responsible for store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering and loss prevention, payroll and scheduling records, maintaining store areas to company standards, safeguarding assets, adhering to safety policies, and helping the Store Manager supervise and train Store Associates while promoting a positive, safe, and professional environment. Preferred candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and capability to work in a high-energy team setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
