Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role focused on store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, aiding customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, executing opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering and inventory control, payroll and scheduling record-keeping, loss prevention, maintaining clean and organized store areas, protecting assets, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines, and supporting the Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates to foster a positive, professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and physical stamina for standing and walking
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
