Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager responsibilities include supporting store operations, delivering strong customer service, and developing the team. Responsibilities cover assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with ordering and loss prevention, payroll and scheduling records, maintaining stockroom and sales floor organization, protecting company assets, adhering to safety policies, helping supervise and train Store Associates, and fostering a positive, safe, and professional environment. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store settings, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
