Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with store functions and day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive manner, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing directives and payroll/scheduling, maintaining promotional fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering merchandise and loss prevention, maintaining a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, protecting company assets, adhering to policies, supervising and developing store associates, and ensuring a positive, safe, and professional environment for customers and staff. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environments (preferred), ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication and teamwork, and customer-service orientation. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
