Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager responsibilities include assisting with store functions and day-to-day operations, providing positive customer service, organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, and performing opening/closing procedures. The role involves processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with ordering and handling damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention. The position supports the Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates, ensuring a clean, safe, and professional store environment, and upholding company policies. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), prior store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store contexts, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
