Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing directives and communications, maintaining promotional displays and store front fixtures, assisting in ordering and loss prevention, payroll and scheduling records, ensuring store areas meet company standards, and upholding safety policies. The role involves training and developing Store Associates, maintaining a positive and professional environment, and ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the store. The position is full-time and located at 2350 Lake Harbin Rd, Morrow, GA 30260-1908, with mention of background checks for alcohol/tobacco licensing where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
