Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, assisting customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, opening/closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining promotional displays, ordering merchandise, payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, ensuring store cleanliness and safety, and supervising/developing store associates. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a high-energy team environment, and preferred store-management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Experience in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling is preferred
