Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role focused on assisting with store functions, customer service, merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring store standards. Responsibilities include directing daily store activities, training and developing Store Associates, maintaining fixtures and promotional displays, ordering merchandise, processing directives, safeguarding assets, adhering to safety and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom, and fostering a positive, respectful environment for customers and team members. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
