Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager duties include supporting store operations, delivering excellent customer service, and developing the store team. Responsibilities involve assisting with day-to-day store activities, organizing and transferring merchandise between delivery and sales areas, performing opening and closing procedures, implementing payroll and scheduling processes, maintaining promotional displays and fixtures, managing inventory and loss prevention, processing transactions and ensuring cash controls, and reinforcing store policies. The role also encompasses training and coaching Store Associates, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and collaborating with the Store Manager to ensure an engaging, respectful customer experience and compliant store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
