Job Summary
Assist Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include handling merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling and cash handling, loss prevention, maintaining clean and organized sales floor and stockroom, protecting store assets, adhering to safety policies, and helping supervise and train Store Associates to ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff. Requires ability to lift up to 55 lbs., strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
