Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role overseeing store operations, customer service, merchandising, scheduling, payroll, loss prevention, and staff development. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, opening/closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining promotional displays, ordering and handling merchandise, record keeping, ensuring safety and compliance, supervising and developing store associates, and maintaining a positive, respectful environment. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), store-management experience in retail/grocery/drug store, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Full-time position located in Middletown, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
