Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role focused on overseeing store operations, delivering excellent customer service, and developing the store team. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, handling opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting in merchandising and stock control, payroll and scheduling records, loss prevention, ensuring store areas are well-stocked and presentable, and supporting the Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs., and a customer-focused, safe, professional environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties (standing, walking, etc.)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
