Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with store functions and day-to-day activities, helping customers, organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to floor, opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional displays, assisting in ordering and loss prevention, payroll/scheduling/receipts, maintaining stockrooms and sales floors, safeguarding assets, adhering to safety policies, and supervising/training store associates to foster a positive, respectful environment. The position emphasizes maintaining a well-organized store, strong communication, and customer service excellence, with equal opportunity employment and potential background/licensing considerations where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required
