Job Summary
Assist the Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling, maintaining a well-stocked and orderly sales floor and stockroom, protecting company assets, adhering to safety policies, and helping develop Store Associates. Additional duties as assigned; this role emphasizes strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
