Job Summary
Merchandise Assistant Manager role supporting the Store Manager in merchandising, processing freight, and leading a team to create positive experiences for communities served. Responsibilities include assisting with store functions, opening/closing procedures, protecting assets and cash, adhering to safety and policies, maintaining stockroom and sales floor standards, processing corporate directives, ensuring cleanliness and neat presentation, delivering a positive and respectful environment for customers and staff, and performing other duties as assigned. Additional duties include processing receipt and return of DSD merchandise, managing freight flow to productivity standards, stocking merchandise (including frozen & refrigerated), ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective, planning and merchandising clip strips and power panels, and developing monthly Sales Planners. Skills emphasized: strong communication, interpersonal and written abilities; ability to lift 30-50 lbs; ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience preferred
