Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development; responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, organizing merchandise, payroll and scheduling duties, loss prevention, maintaining a well-stocked sales floor and clean stockroom, and supervising/training Store Associates while ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff. Requires ability to lift up to 55 lbs and strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; high school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in retail/grocery/drug store management is preferred; part-time role based in Newark, DE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
