Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager role responsible for assisting with store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing directives and reports, maintaining promotional fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering and loss prevention, payroll/scheduling/receipts record-keeping, and ensuring a safe, professional environment. Requires ability to supervise/train Store Associates and maintain store standards; includes responsibilities for cleanliness, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies. Part-time position located at 1560 Donelson Parkway, Dover, TN 37058 for Family Dollar; background/licensing considerations may apply for alcohol/tobacco sales where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as described
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
