Job Summary
Assist Store Manager with retail operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include helping with day-to-day store activities, aiding customers, organizing and transferring merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives and records, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with merchandise ordering and loss prevention, payroll/scheduling, and ensuring store areas meet company standards. Support the supervision, training, and development of store associates while maintaining a positive, safe, and professional environment; ensure cleanliness and tidy presentation of the store, including restrooms, floors, and fixtures. Per the description, the role emphasizes store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, scheduling, and staff development in a part-time capacity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics)
