Job Summary
Assist Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfer from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting in ordering and payroll/scheduling records, maintaining stockroom and sales floor, protecting assets, adhering to safety and policies, and helping supervise and develop Store Associates to ensure a positive, safe environment. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and store-management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments; physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform multiple movements; strong communication and customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
