Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development; duties include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, transferring from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, performing opening and closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining promotional fixtures, assisting in ordering and inventory tasks, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits), and loss prevention; maintain clean, safe, and organized store areas, protect assets, adhere to policies, and help supervise/train store associates to foster a positive environment and strong customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics)
