Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, aiding customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, opening/closing procedures, processing directives (pull/hold/destroy, task compliance, key surveys, etc.), maintaining promotional displays, assisting with ordering and loss prevention, payroll and scheduling records, ensuring store cleanliness and safety, supervising and developing store associates, and maintaining a positive, safe, and professional environment for customers and staff. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), retail/grocery/drug store management experience (preferred), ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication and customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
