Job Summary
Assist the Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include helping with day-to-day store activities, assisting customers in a positive manner, organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, conducting opening and closing procedures, processing corporate directives and communications, maintaining promotional fixtures and displays, assisting in ordering and processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts) and loss prevention, ensuring store areas are well-stocked and presentable, protecting company assets, adhering to safety and company policies, coaching and developing Store Associates, and maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-energy, team environment. Perks include benefits and equal opportunity employment. The position is part-time with location in Huntington Station, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, etc.)
