Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager responsibilities include supporting store operations and customer service, supervising and developing store associates, and assisting with merchandising and daily tasks. Duties encompass opening/closing procedures, processing directives, maintaining promotional displays, managing payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, inventory control, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized store environment. Requires strong communication and customer service skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail/grocery/drug store settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
