Job Summary
Assistant Manager I position supporting store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, performing opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional fixtures, assisting in merchandise ordering and loss prevention, payroll and scheduling record-keeping, ensuring store areas are well-stocked and presentable, protecting company assets, complying with safety policies, and helping supervise/train/store associates to maintain a positive, safe environment. Required skills include high school diploma or equivalent, store-management experience preferred, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, teamwork orientation, and customer-service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required
