Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager duties focus on assisting the Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include helping with opening and closing procedures, assisting customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining promotional displays, processing directives and communications, managing payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, store cleanliness, asset security, and training/developing Store Associates. Requires strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills, ability to thrive in a high-energy team environment, and ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent movements including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
