Job Summary
Assistant Manager I at a retail location responsible for assisting store functions, customer service, and team development. Duties include aiding with day-to-day store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, assisting with opening/closing procedures, processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays and stockroom organization, assisting in ordering and handling damaged merchandise, payroll scheduling, and cash handling. Also responsible for loss prevention, ensuring store assets are protected, upholding store policies and safety guidelines, training and developing Store Associates, and maintaining a positive, professional customer-centric environment. Physical requirements include up to 55 lbs lifting and frequent movement; the role emphasizes high-energy teamwork, exceptional customer service, and strong communication and organizational skills. The position is part-time and located at 3700 N Northview Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57107.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and repetitive lifting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
