Job Summary
Assistant Manager HR role focused on guiding employee relations and industrial relations, ensuring policy and regulatory compliance, and strengthening workplace culture. Responsibilities include advising on HR policies and employment legislation, partnering with managers to implement policies and engagement initiatives, handling grievances and disciplinary matters, conducting investigations related to misconduct, supporting audit activities, coordinating communication programs and training initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement through committee participation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, at least 5 years of relevant experience in employee/industrial relations, strong knowledge of labor legislations, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Desirable experience with LMS (Oracle Learning), ISO standards, and manufacturing or multinational environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations
- Sound knowledge of Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and applicable labor legislation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee matters with professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and interact with employees at all levels
