Job Summary

Oversee daily Home Store operations by supervising paid staff and volunteers, managing opening and closing procedures, and maintaining inventory standards. Drive sales growth by building relationships with service areas, securing new volunteers, and ensuring adequate staffing coverage. Execute financial tasks including daily register counts, bank deposits, and financial spreadsheets while researching donation pricing. Maintain a clean, organized sales floor through regular cleaning and merchandising, and provide exceptional customer service to donors and shoppers.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of three years of retail experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Some driving and loading of delivery and/or large vehicles
  • Must be 21 years old to operate a delivery and/or large vehicle
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Knowledge of antiques and resale business
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics
  • Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Attends Home Store staff, volunteer and support meetings

  • Ability to effectively open and close the store following defined procedures
  • Ability to effectively handle operational tasks such as counting out register daily, making up the bank deposit and completing daily banking and financial spreadsheets
  • Ability to effectively assure reasonable pricing of donations by researching pricing on antiques and collectables
  • Ability to effectively receive donations from public, collect information, and provide receipts as requested
  • Ability to effectively maintain proper store inventory by sorting, pricing and stocking donations to the sales floor appropriately and according to display themes
  • Ability to effectively touch up or repair donations for higher sales value
  • Ability to effectively create inviting store environment (neat, clean and organized)
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in a timely manner to store staff and volunteers and Retail Director
  • Ability to effectively build relationships in our service areas to promote the store in order to increase donations and sales
  • Ability to effectively work closely with the volunteer department to obtain new volunteers and to retain current volunteer base
  • Ability to effectively assist the Retail Director/General Manager and Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of Four Seasons Hospice Home Store
  • Ability to effectively assist Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Home Store
  • Ability to effectively provide a welcoming clean environment which reflects the Four Seasons brand by vacuuming, dusting and cleaning furniture, shelves, merchandise and other items on the sales floor
  • Ability to effectively Be an ambassador of Four Seasons with all Home Store customers and donors
  • Ability to effectively Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Four Seasons values and commitment to co-workers
