Job Summary
Assistant Manager, Fund Services role focused on day-to-day operational contact and coordination for a portfolio of Private Equity, Private Debt, and closed-end funds. Responsibilities include accounting and administration of funds, reviewing transactions, preparing periodic working papers, management reports, and financial statements under US GAAP and/or IFRS; drafting annual financial statements and notes; preparing capital call and distribution notices; performing waterfall calculations and subsequent closings; supporting new client onboarding with KYC/Investor Services, liaising with legal counsel, and data migration for fund transitions; responding to client inquiries and audits; contributing to client servicing and maintaining client relationships; and coaching junior team members. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Investran or Allvue, IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and strong MS Office skills. The role is based in Canada (Toronto) with English language work requirements; salary CAD 85,988 to 90,000 depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and flexible time off.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accountancy
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Private Equity, fund accounting or related field
- Strong working knowledge of Investran or Allvue
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- English language proficiency
