Assistant Manager, Fund Accounting

Job Summary
Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of NAV reports, financial statements, and complex deliverables for private equity and private debt funds. Manage end-to-end client deliverables by coordinating with counterparts, validating data, assigning workloads, monitoring deadlines, and resolving technical issues within 24 hours. Guide and develop the team through coaching, feedback, and process optimization while acting as an alternate Manager when needed. Oversee workflow and operational controls, including timesheet monitoring, pre-approving overtime, managing the workflow planner, and drafting error reports with root-cause analysis. Enforce procedural compliance and report breaches or errors promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or a business-related course
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience managing service operations
- Experience managing client deliverables
- Experience managing staff performance
- Experience managing appraisals
- Strong fluency in English
- An additional foreign language
- Strong knowledge of IndAS
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Strong knowledge of various GAAPs (US, UK, Lux)
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Extensive experience working paper files
- Solid technical capability in Private Equity and Private Debt fund accounting
- Operational fund accounting experience
- Working knowledge of Investran
- Working knowledge of Paxus
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, IF functions)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Effective written communication skills
- Advanced verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Completed Certified Public Accountant/ACCA qualification
- Experience working in Financial Services
- Experience working in Shared Services office environment
- Experience working in a multinational office environment
- Open to travel
- Open to other secondment opportunities abroad if required
