Assistant Manager-Full Time

Assist customers, supervise clerks and other personnel, and manage daily store operations. Responsibilities include ordering merchandise, handling compliments and complaints, keeping up with store promotions and events, reporting problems to management, organizing and solving issues in the manager’s absence, coordinating special orders, checking in freight, and opening/closing the store as needed. Secondary duties include helping prepare orders, merchandising, keeping aisles clear, stocking shelves, mixing paint, cutting keys, answering the telephone, and assisting with tool assembly and repairs. Requirements emphasize strong customer service, supervisory ability, math proficiency, flexibility to work evenings/weekends/holidays, familiarity with hardware/building materials, professional telephone skills, and proficiency with office machines and Excel; proven self-motivation, organization, and problem-solving abilities are valued.
