Job Summary
Support the Store Manager in supervising daily operations, stepping in to lead the location during absences. Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver consistent, high-quality service while managing opening/closing procedures and cash handling. Greet customers, explain services, and recommend additional work based on manufacturer guidelines, ensuring every visit reflects brand standards for speed and trust. Assist with scheduling team members, onboarding new hires, and maintaining inventory levels for parts and supplies. Conduct quality checks on completed work, promote safety protocols, and track daily sales and productivity metrics. This hands-on role splits time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, requiring flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay
- Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [50] lbs as needed
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in quick-lube, automotive service, or a related industry
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance services (oil changes, fluid checks, filters, etc.)
- Experience supervising or training team members in a retail or service environment
- ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards
