Job Summary
Collaborate with management to ensure safety, stability, and professional guidance for residents in residential treatment settings while supervising TST Milieu Counselors. Monitor the residential program to maintain Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) standards in the milieu setting. Implement appropriate child management techniques and conduct residential and community visits, including travel to clients' residences and office sites. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or significant childcare experience, plus the ability to lift up to 20lbs and use passive physical restraint if necessary. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are required. Bilingual or ASL skills earn an additional 6% or 8% compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in social work-related field
- significant residential/childcare experience
- supervisory experience
- Willingness and capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as scheduled
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues
- Capabilities to implement appropriate child management techniques, which may include use of passive physical restraint
- Excellent communication skills
- current driver's license
- reliable transportation with a minimum of 3 seats in addition to the driver's seat
- proof of automobile insurance
- Bilingual/ASL skills
- Multilingual skills
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to communicate by voice, use sight and hearing
