Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager: Freight Flow, you will lead store logistics and freight flow to drive sales and profitability, partner with the Store Manager to develop a high-performance team, maintain freight flow processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines, ensure loss-prevention and inventory initiatives, and analyze business trends to identify opportunities while upholding World Market's values and standards. You will coach staff, manage daily tasks, and support safety training and a customer-first selling culture in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to coach and develop a high-performance team
- Ability to analyze business trends and use data to problem-solve and drive opportunities
- Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively
- Strong planning, prioritization, and delegation skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to Loss Prevention policies and inventory procedures
