Job Summary
Lead onsite design implementation, installation, operation, and maintenance of audio/video systems for marquee events, park theatrical entertainment, and special projects. Coordinate with AV Creative teams, vendors, and partners to facilitate information exchange, present design solutions, and manage inventory and logistics. Provide day-to-day leadership to technical personnel during installations, rehearsals, and live operations while reviewing show reports to monitor system performance. Submit and track logistic requests, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure proper archiving of all system documentation. Represent the AV Tech team in project meetings and partner with Project Management to ensure successful execution of entertainment experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in theatrical or entertainment audio/video design, implementation, or production
- Extensive theme park experience in technical audio/video production for live theatrical entertainment
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, coordinating vendors, and managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize competing project demands
- Confidence to effectively communicate across all lines of business, and with all levels of management
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change, working in fast-paced environments with accelerated production schedules
- Strong working knowledge of various software programs including but not limited to: Q-SYS, QLab, Reaper, Mainstage, Pro Tools, Dante, and IT Networking protocols
- Strong working knowledge of various hardware systems including but not limited to: Yamaha, Allen & Heath, and QSC digital audio consoles, Alcorn McBride, Geffen, Blackmagic, Brightsign, and Gilderfluke
- Expert ability to troubleshoot and address issues in complex systems
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
- A strong passion to drive high-quality results, both end-product as well as process
- Ability to read, interpret and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, project drawings and procedure manuals
- Be able to write reports, business correspondence and technical documentation
- Will also be able to effectively communicate, present information, and answer questions in one-on-one and group settings
- Have strong interpersonal, analytical and time management skills and demonstrates the ability to work independently under pressure
