Job Summary
Advise management on environmental pollution parameters and suggest control measures per regulations. Conduct regular floor rounds to ensure safe work practices are followed and liaise with staff to enforce guidelines. Maintain proper records as per Corporate Safety standards and coordinate with departments to ensure compliance. Liaise with Corporate Safety regarding unit training needs and audit follow-ups. Plan and ensure regular EHS Committee Meetings are held. Execute risk assessment and hazard spotting exercises on a regular basis. Requires a Diploma in Industrial Safety Management, approximately 10 years shop floor experience, and strong people management skills to educate workmen and prevent incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma by RLIS/CLIS in the field of Industrial Safety Management
- Thorough knowledge of various production machines on the floor, materials used including hazardous ones & their MSDS
- Complete details of various machine guarding and the importance of electrical inter-locking
- Approx. 10 years shop floor experience
- Conversant with safe work habits
- Competency in People management
- Competency in communications skills
- Thorough in-depth knowledge of EHS
