Job Summary
Execute company health and safety policies and ensure compliance with local regulations in DC operations. Manage written safety programs, maintain ISO 14001/45001/50001 records, and drive the site accountability program. Conduct workplace inspections, lead accident investigations, and facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments. Deliver safety training, manage emergency preparedness plans, and oversee vendor compliance. Analyze safety metrics to identify high-risk areas and intervene on unsafe acts. Partner with DC Operations, HR, and management to support continuous improvement and regulatory audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of safety, environmental and occupational health/ergonomic standards and regulatory that impact operations
- Comprehension and practical application of risk assessments
- Must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to be flexible regarding shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience implementing ISO 14001 and 45001 system and/or 5S/lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with mix of contract and temporary employees at a site of at least 800 people
- Certified Safety Engineer
- ISO 14000/9000/18000 systems internal or external auditor
