Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Premier Dog Training and Boarding with Destination Pet: lead center staff and support the General Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and sales while ensuring cohesive pet care operations. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, payroll management, training and coaching, recruiting and termination under direction, ensuring compliance with federal/local labor laws (OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices), inventory management, bank deposits, facility maintenance, client communication, marketing and local community engagement, and acting as the onsite manager when the General Manager is unavailable. Requires 1 year of management experience and a bachelor’s degree (BS/BA preferred); experience in veterinary, boarding, or grooming settings is a plus. Pay range $25.00-$28.00/hour DOE.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or BS/BA is a plus
- Minimum of 1 year management experience preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail environments
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications
- Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
- Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills
- Must have exceptional strong customer service experience and skills
Desired Qualifications
- BS/BA preferred
- 1 year management experience
