Job Summary
Assistant Manager leads ice cream shop operations and people development, hiring and coaching through company values to uphold standards and drive results. Responsibilities include hiring and training Shift Leads, Ice Cream Makers, Production Team members, Trainers, and Scoopers; coaching and developing teams; planning and executing training programs; ensuring customer-focused service and a lively shop culture; managing daily operations, inventory, and standards; communicating shop priorities and performance to the General Manager; and supporting tasks such as roster management, new-hire orientation, and performance reviews. The role emphasizes leadership, delegation, delivering a consistent customer experience, maintaining clean facilities, and driving growth in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in a related service industry, at least one year of delegation/coordination experience, be 21+, and able to lift 50 lbs and stand for shifts. Compensation includes $25.50 per hour plus tips, with benefits and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Have at least two years of experience in a related service industry
- Have at least one year of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for the entirety of a shift
- Adhere to the written schedule and maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Maintain a weekly schedule of 35-38 in-shop hours scheduled based on shop and team needs
