Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Dairy Queen responsible for assisting the General Manager in executing restaurant operations with a focus on quality, service, and atmosphere. Oversees inventory control, product production, cash/COGS/labor management, training of shift leads and crew, and implementing the restaurant’s business plan to optimize sales and profits. Ensures Food Safety and sanitation standards, drives Fan service and customer satisfaction, and mentors a team to meet daily and seasonal objectives. Requires ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, work across allergens, and adapt to varied temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be ServSafe certifiable
- Minimum 1-3 years of high volume restaurant leadership experience
- Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
- Customer focus and hospitality skills
- Trainer and coach ability
- Management skills for coaching and developing staff
- Organizational and goal-focused mindset
