Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Crossgates Mall supports the Shop Manager across all business areas as second-in-command, handling customer experience, sales growth, staff leadership, recruitment, scheduling, inventory, and operational excellence to drive a strong customer experience and achieving sales goals. Responsibilities include leading on the sales floor, coaching staff, expanding product knowledge, communicating brand values (Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, Naked Packaging), managing budgets and reports, and ensuring policies, safety, and daily operations are followed. Required qualifications include 1-3 years of retail management or supervisory experience, excellent listening/communication, analytical/problem-solving abilities, organizational and time-management skills, strong customer service and leadership capabilities, and an interest in skincare and ethical business; flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
