Job Summary
Conduct daily banking center operations, including opening and closing facilities, managing complex customer requests, and processing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and wire transfers. Coach Banking Center staff on the Country Bank Experience, Avannis Survey management, and sales techniques through role-play and quarterly development sessions. Assist the Retail Banking Officer with performance reviews, policy communication, and facilitating meetings on leadership and goal objectives. Identify and pursue opportunities to build customer relationships by identifying financial needs, offering product solutions, and meeting defined sales targets for mortgages, commercial loans, and merchant services. Originates and closes home equity lines of credit, consumer loans, and Small Business Express products while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Requires 37 hours weekly with 2-3 weekend days per month; full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or equivalent banking experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in a banking environment
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Notary Public license
- Lending origination skills
- Ability to maintain active registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team
- Understanding of federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the activities of the Bank
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to communicate with others through spoken and/or written word
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, act with tact and diplomacy and maintain a professional dress and demeanor
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to travel between offices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree (preferred over required)
- Equivalent banking experience (preferred over required)
- At least one year of coaching and supervising others
