Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Cafe Rio — lead and coach a restaurant team, run daily operations, and drive customer satisfaction. Onboarding includes 8 weeks of hands-on training to learn to run a multimillion-dollar restaurant. Role emphasizes leadership, training, and mentoring of staff, with responsibilities to manage shifts, uphold food quality and service standards, and interact with customers. Requires 2+ years of management experience supervising a team of 15+; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus. Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Proof of valid driver’s license
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. and stand for 8 plus hrs.
- 2 or more years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry managing a team of 15 or more employees
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays, as well as work weeks that may at times exceed 40 hours
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills; able to easily interact with diverse employees, bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
