Job Summary
Assistant Property Manager position based at The Heights at 701 Apartments in Harker Heights, TX. Work closely with the Property Manager to oversee daily property operations, leasing activities, maintenance coordination, vendor contracts, and regulatory compliance across multiple properties. The role emphasizes customer service, effective communication with residents, organization, prioritization of tasks, and supporting a stable, well-run community. Responsibilities include assisting with leasing and renewals, accurate recordkeeping (AppFolio), coordinating maintenance requests, conducting inspections, supporting improvement projects, vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Required experience in property management or related real estate/hospitality roles; familiarity with leasing processes and property operations; ability to use property management systems; strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented and detail-driven; capable of balancing multiple priorities. Full-time, on-site at The Heights at 701 Apartments in Harker Heights, TX; standard hours Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm. Legal work authorization in the United States required; visa sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in property management or a related real estate, housing, or hospitality role
- Working knowledge of leasing processes and basic property operations
- Comfort using property management systems (AppFolio experience a plus, but not required)
- Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and over the phone
- A team-oriented mindset with a customer-service focus
- Organized, dependable, and able to juggle multiple priorities with confidence
