Job Summary
Prepare and serve diverse cocktails, mocktails, and beverages with precision while supervising and training bar staff on mixology techniques and operational procedures. Manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation of spirits and wines, and monitor costs, pricing, and profitability to maintain quality standards. Develop and update bar menus with seasonal cocktails and signature drinks, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations. Deliver exceptional customer service through personalized recommendations and maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment. Requires minimum 3-5 years of professional bartending experience, proven supervisory skills, and proficiency in POS systems. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale hospitality environment
- Proven expertise in mixology with advanced knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail preparation techniques
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience in a bar or food and beverage setting
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and bar management software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for inventory management, cost control, and financial analysis
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate bar staff
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations
- Knowledge of wine pairing and sommelier principles
- Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Hindi or other regional languages
- Experience developing innovative cocktail menus and managing special events or promotions
- Certification in responsible alcohol service and training
- Strong background in guest relations and delivering personalized service experiences
- Experience with revenue management and upselling techniques to maximize bar profitability
